Courses Hakone and Momiji Line were added to the game. While Hakone is new to the series, Momiji Line makes its return from Special Stage. Rivals that have been absent since Version 3 such as Atsuro Kawai, Miki, the Man in Evo V, and the Man in Evo VI have returned to the series. Tsukuba Snow and Tsuchisaka Snow have been removed.
A new car, Subaru BRZ S, has been added to the series. Nissan GT-R (R35) has been replaced with Nissan GT-R Nismo (R35). Cars that have been absent since Version 3 such as Toyota Celica GT-Four, Nissan Skyline 25GT Turbo, Mitsubishi Lancer RS Evolution V, and Mitsubishi Lancer GSR Evolution VI have returned to the series.
