SEGA Initial D Arcade Stage Zero is the ninth and installment in Sega's legendary Initial D Arcade Stage series—a premier arcade racing simulator captivating players with authentic touge (mountain pass) drifting battles inspired by the iconic Initial D anime and manga. It comes with a new creative cabinet, features with an alteration to the 6-speed speed shifter, instead of the sequential one, new soundtrack and using new AIME card as save card, and not a proprietary one anymore (it means that you’ll be able to use the same IC card for both Wangan Midnight and Initial D). You won’t be able to use your Initial D 8 card.
Authentic Drifting Action: Master high-stakes downhill and uphill races on legendary courses like Akina, Hakone, Irohazaka, Tsukuba, and more (up to 17+ courses across updates); perform precise drifts with updated physics, body/tire gauges, and car behavior modes (mild, stability) for easy-to-learn, hard-to-master control.
Advanced Controls: Features a realistic 6-speed H-pattern manual shifter (replacing sequential shifters), lighter steering wheel, and adjustable transmission (MT/AT); speakers integrated into seats for immersive J-rock soundtrack (with select Eurobeat tracks).
Modes & Progression: Story-driven "Public Roads Legend" with 6+ chapters, prologue, extras; Time Attack, Versus (1-2 players, linkable cabinets), 2v2 Team Battles, D Fest events, Weekly Missions; save progress, tune cars (up to FULL SPEC), and manage teams via Aime/Amusement IC cards (compatible with other Sega titles like Wangan Midnight).
