Mario Kart 2 Arcade Machine is similar to the first Mario Kart Arcade, allowing players to enjoy the Mario Kart experience with realistic, arcade-quality driving controls.
It also re-uses the popular “NAM-CAM” feature which allows you to put your face into the game as an avatar or add a Mario character overlay for extra fun! The series is also known for featuring numerous unique attack & defense items that have never appeared in the console versions of the series, such as the Needle Barb, Cream Pie, Tweester, Sticky Oil or Jack In The Box. Defend against on-coming attacks by mastering the powerslide technique, which generates a temporary shield behind your racer.
Players are part of the game when you take a picture of yourself at the start of the game. Choose one of eleven characters – Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Wario, Peach, Toad, Donkey Kong, Bowser, Pac-Man, Ms Pac-Man and Blinky for the ultimate race with 24 different tracks.
Players can choose from three different game modes:
Versus Race – Race against your opponent to the finish line.
Grand Prix – Choose from eight Cup races. (single player mode)
Time Trial – Attempt to beat a race-time record in one of the 24 courses. (single player mode)
