The immortal shoot them up series continues with more action pack mayhem than ever. Raiden IV combines new weapons and enemies with the classic play style and feel of the previous versions.
For those of you unfamilar with the series. The player(s) controls an advanced jet craft in order to destroy the evil forces. When some enemies are destroyed they leave behind power ups, in the form of coloured crystals.
These crystals bounce around the stage changing colour, each colour represents a different weapon. It's up to the player to choose the best weapon for them and the situation. e.g. Red (Spread Shot) against multiple enemies & Blue (Laser Beam) against the stage boss.
Each time the player collects a power up of the same colour the weapon increases in strength. The player gets automatic side weapons like missiles. As well as a limited supply of bombs. Occasionally destroyed enemies might leave behind a extra bomb to be collected.
