Melty Blood: Act Cadenza is an orthodox 2D fighting game, and players use combos, aerial attacks, and other moves to fight against each other. This game is originally a PC game; in this arcade version, two new characters were added: Aozaki Aoko--- a magician who appeared as the boss in the PC release of the game; and Kishima Kouma--- a young man who possesses the blood of demons.
Unlike in the PC version, in Melty Blood: Act Cadenza the character's life meter does not recover during the blood heat mode.
