A variation of Konami's mega hit Dance Dance Revolution. Dance 86.4 is a colourful machine which features 2 players foot panels with 3 sensors on each.
Similar in play to DDR, players choose the song and mode they want and can compete either solo or head to head. The gameplay, backgrounds, characters and animations are more stylised into the Disco Era.
The player's character walk along a dazzling footpath, as they walk players will notice, some of the block have footprints on them. Either Blue (left), Yellow(middle) or Red(right). As they character steps on one of these blocks the players needs to steps on the corresponding colour on there foot panel.
Due to the fact that all 3 sensor/panels are in side by side in a row, is like walking. As players get used to the beat/timing of the steps the player gets a good rythmn going and can get further in the game.
To add more fun in to the game, if the player mis-steps onto a foot panel marked with a bomb icon the bottom half of the screen explodes and is filled with smoke for a while. This causes the upcoming blocks to be invisble until the character is about to step on them.
Once the stage is over the player is ranked with a score out of 100 and a winner is declared. |
